Bananas for bananas in Californi-a! :D

Sunny California.   Well, with all the rain we’ve been getting, it hasn’t been super sunny per se - especially if you missed the sale on Bananas at Safeway this past week, BUT feat not!   Turn that frown into a crown with these hot deals on a most ubiquitous fruit :)

How about some tasty bananas - in the north we’ve got Sendik’s with $0.29 - TWENTY NINE CENTS - a pound!

And to the south, we’ve got Superior Grocer’s dishing out 3 pounds of bananas for $1.00 (or $0.33 a pound!)

Ice cream sundaes.  Milkshakes.  Smoothies.  Snacks.  They go great in cereal (corn flakes, cheerios, you name it).  They’re ALSO a GREAT source of natural potassium that’ll give you an extra boost before and after you go exercising!  You just can’t go wrong with bananas - especially at these prices :)

Finishing up the last string of updates for this week is…. dun dun dun! P&C Food & Pharmacy for our friendly shoppers in New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont!

While the weather certainly could be better, I hope everyone has a safe and eventful weekend!   All the snow reminded me of a series of Calvin & Hobbes about Calvin and his snowpeople.  While we all built snowmen in our childhood, some were a bit more creative than others.  I remember mine being more of a big pile of snow than a ‘man’ per se.  Take a look at some people’s real-life efforts @ replicating Calvin’s snow stories.  More after the jump!
